Garlando F-1 Foosball Table
Whilst the F-1 may not be quite up there with the latest designer foosball tables, its functional cherrywood cabinet pretty much does the job required. It is only 15mm thick MDF, but then with only kids that shhould be playing on it, this should be more than substantial enough.
Telescopic rods are supplied as standard with the F-1, which is good to know given the target age range. A rod in the eye or the groin is not something anyone needs to contemplate, so hats off to Garlando there. The players are plastic and screwed to the bars. Moulded are generally better, but that increases the price, so it’s a worthy compromise.
Although not a necessity given the probable ability level of the players, a fully rotating 360 degree goalkeeper does stop damage to the goal areas or the plastic figure and any goals scored drop to a retrieval box at each end of the table.
The Garlando F-1 comes with a two year manufacturer warranty covering replacement parts which is good to know, should there be any faults when you first get the table, and it conforms to the latest European safety standards. All in all, a great little table
Who’s it for?
Garlando’s F-1 is primarily aimed at the younger player. It’s slightly smaller than a regular full-size table and is shorter too, making it much easier for younger players to enjoying playing
What about assembling the F1?
As with most Garlando football tables, and indeed many if not all tables within this price range, the Garlando F-1 does require self assembly at home, however full instructions are included
How does it play?
The F-1 plays very well considering its target audience and overall cost. There’s enough weight in the table to keep it steady, yet not make it overly dangerous, and the cabinet gives a good rebound, however understandably, control is not that of a top table
Is it good value for money?
The F-1 costs a little over £100 and out of that has to come VAT and delivery, which when taken into account makes this table all-the-more worthwhile. Sure, control is not going to be as good as more expensive tables, but then would you be thinking it was? Similarly as it’s aimed at younger players, control probably isn’t the key fun point, smashing the balls into the goal however that can be achieved is likely top aim.
